Formerly the Ontario Craft Distillers Association

Driving Change for Craft Spirits in Ontario Since 2012

Craft Spirits Ontario, formerly the Ontario Craft Distillers Association (OCDA) was formed in 2012 when the first few distillers were set to open in Ontario. Since the prohibition ended, there has been constant challenges for craft distillers in Ontario because of rules and regulations. The initial goal of CSO was to voice the distillers concerns regarding the disparity in operating ability faced between different provinces, countries, and beverage sectors.

Same Values, New Names

As our industry has grown over the past decade so too has our association grown with it. With spirit  producers in Ontario now taking on many forms, we want to be inclusive of all the great companies and brands who build our landscape.

As we grow and mature as an association it is time to evolve out of the images that tie us to our infancy and project the new face of the members. With that change in mind, Craft Spirits Ontario and Field & Flask were born. The new image will project our new value as an industry partner to all those working within the space and a leader to those new to it.

More Than a Community

The OCDA has since grown to be much more of a community of support between Craft Distillers, helping each other to navigate the challenges faced in starting a business in and industry, and the unique ones faced in the alcohol beverage sector. The newest efforts lie in shinning much more of a light on the unique quality of our products to the consumers. Helping to promote our members offerings and create sales opportunities that were previously out of reach.
